1919

Eikichi Nemoto starts a private, wholesale medical device business called "Eikichi Nemoto Iwashiya"

1939

The company is renamed Eikichi Nemoto Shoten, Inc. Mizuho Koygo Inc., a medical equipment manufacturing company, is established and large-scale manufacturing is initiated

1947

Manufacturing of operating tables commences at a specialized factory in Tokyo

1951

Corporate name is amended to Mizuho Ikakogyo Co., LTD.

1962

Production of forged-steel surgical equipment begins

1981

Mizuho Medical Co. Ltd. is formed and Mizuho Technical Training Center is established

1983

Sugita Aneurysm Clips were approved for sale on a commercial basis in the United States in 1983.

1993

Mizuho America, Inc. is established and commissioned in Beverly, MA

1998

Key facilities acquire ISO9001, ISO13485, EN46001 and MDD certifications

1999

Key facilities acquire ISO9001, ISO13485, EN46001 and MDD certifications

2002

Mizuho purchases and acquires Orthopedic Systems, Inc.

2003

O/R Systems Showroom is completed
